Nike and Chelsea Football Club have today unveiled a new away kit for Chelsea ahead of 2019/20 season.
The new stylish design is inspired by the Mod culture which thrived in 1960s London. The new kit features a crisp white polo shirt complete with a button-down collar. This is trimmed with red and blue stripes and is fastened in the centre by two buttons, each inscribed with the phrase: ‘The Pride of London’.
The sleeves are also trimmed with red and blue, while the head-to-toe look is completed by white shorts and Chelsea blue socks, which feature a white, red, white stripe midway up the calf
Meanwhile, inside the top, there’s another celebration of the Blues’ place at the heart of the capital in the shape of a ‘Pride of London’ graphic.
In other news, Chelsea new boy Christian Pulisic has joined his teammates in Japan having cut short his summer break, which only began after the USA’s Gold Cup campaign came to an end with defeat in the final to Mexico 10 days ago.
Just hours after arriving in Japan, Pulisic joined the rest of his Chelsea teammates for a light training session.
The light training session focused on stretching to dust off the cobwebs following the long flight, as well as some light jogging and small-sided games that yielded plenty of laughs and some traditional ear-flicking!
Chelsea will meet Kawasaki Frontale on Friday and Barcelona on Tuesday.
