New Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has taken charge of his first training session as the new Chelsea manager.

The Blues are currently in Dublin in a preseason training camp as the team begin preparations for the new season.

Lampard and the squad travelled to Dublin on Friday and our new boss wasted no time in taking a look at his players in action with a few drills in Maynooth, a small university town in in north County Kildare.

During his time as Derby boss, Lampard was known to favour youth and the likes of Ethan Ampadu, Trevoh Chalobah and Lewis Baker were no doubt eager to showcase their talents to our new boss.

During the preseason training camp in Ireland, the Blues will play Bohemians on Wednesday then St Patrick’s Athletic next Saturday.

  1. It’s a very important thing to see a legend coming back to take up a coaching position at Stamford Bridge and it’s the best thing one can offer as an appreciation to your former club. Frank Lampard is a very unique character and I’m quite sure he will make a tremendous impact on the team as he brings with him new needed talent at Chelsea. Wish you well Frankie Lampard.
