Chelsea signed Christian Pulisic from Borussia Dortmund in the January transfer window for a fee of £58m.
The 20-year-old American moved to Germany as teenager and broke his way into the Dortmund squad as a youngster.
In 2016, Pulisic became the youngest non-German to score in the Bundesliga and then became the youngest player in the Bundesliga to score a brace.
After impressing in Germany, he’d try to do so in the Premier League with Chelsea next season, and he has revealed that he spoke to three players who are conversant with the Premier League before signing up for Chelsea.
Pulisic has revealed that he spoke to former Manchester City youngster Jadon Sancho and Arsenal duo Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Sokratis Papastathopoulos. All three have been his teammates at Dortmund.
He told SoccerBible: “I spoke with Jadon and he told me that the Premier League is incredible, that the football over here is amazing.
“I’m also close with Aubameyang and Sokratis from our time at Dortmund together, so I got their input as well.”
Pulisic also admitted that coming to the Premier League is a dream come true for him.
He said: “It’s incredible. For me as an American I always dreamed of playing in the Premier League and to move over here to London and be right in the heart of it all, it’s really special.”
