Last summer, our club record fee for a player was smashed after the signing of Kepa Arrizabalaga from Atletic Bilbao for £71million, making him the most expensive goalkeeper in the world.

Since his arrival from Spain he became an undisputed first-choice option between sticks. He secured 14 clean sheets in his debut season in 36 games. A controversy in the Carabao Cup final (refused to be subbed off) raised some doubts if the 24-year-old could remain our main goalie. Luckily, the conflict was resolved quickly. The keeper went on to win his first trophy at Chelsea in the Europa League.
