For a manager to succeed in his work, he must have a good relationship with his players. The downfall of certain managers has come because there was a tense relationship with the players and a tense atmosphere is the last thing any manager wants.
Frank Lampard was appointed as Chelsea manager over a week ago, and many are predicting whether the Blues boss will be a success at the club.
One thing we’ve noticed is that Lampard has a good relationship with the players, and this alone could bring success back to Stamford Bridge.
Almost every Chelsea player has given glowing reports on working under Lampard. See what the players have been saying:
“He’s the boss now and we will follow him obviously.
“We’re delighted to have him as our manager and we will work hard for him because we have an exciting season ahead of us. Frank’s experience as a manager is one year in Derby but the football experience he has, playing at the highest level and working under a lot of very good managers, means we have nothing to be worried about.
“He has a lot of desire and passion to be the manager of Chelsea, the club he loves and where everyone loves him. All the players, staff and fans are excited and now the only way we can get it started is by being together as a club and hopefully we can do it together.”
“I like his energy and desire to always improve and win,” Giroud told Radio 5 Live Sports Extra.
“I think he is the right person. He is basically a Chelsea legend.
“We all believe in his quality to improve the team and with the transfer ban it’s a good opportunity for the young players to show what they can do.
“Now we’re excited to play the first league game.”
“We are starting to understand what Lamps wants from us,” he told Chelsea TV.
“It has been good to see Lamps and the staff because they know this club well and they deserve this opportunity, so there is a positive energy.
“It is always important to be positive. It is great to start pre-season this way and we need to understand the responsibility. We need to work a lot and understand what we have to do.”
“He is a legend,” Willian told football.london. “He was an extraordinary player for the club, winning every possible title.
“He deserves so much respect and backing for what he has already achieved at the club. If Chelsea do bring him in, he will be very welcome.”
“Is he definitely going to be the next manager? I don’t know,” Willian continued. “But I think he would be up to the task.
“He was a great player, and he is a great person. He’s only starting his managerial career now, but he has everything it takes to be a success.”
Yes, if it was him to take over the job, I believe in myself,” Abraham told The Telegraph.
“There is no better guy [than Lampard] to play under. Someone you have grown up watching, been at Chelsea forever.
“He knows about me as well. I played against his team in the play-off final.”
