Chelsea new boy Christian Pulisic is expected to join his new teammates for the tour of Japan.
The 20-year-old missed the training camp in Dublin, Ireland, due to his involvement with the USA in the Gold Cup, a tournament he helped them reach the final before losing 1-0 to Mexico.
During his time at Dortmund, Pulisic played through the middle and in the wings, so fans have wondering how new Chelsea boss Frank Lampard intends to use the American international.
According to journalist Ian McGarry, who is very close to Frank Lampard, Pulisic will play in the no.10 role in a 4-2-3-1 formation which Lampard intends to use next season.
But Lampard could move Pulisic to the wings when Ruben Loftus-Cheek returns from injury as the no.10 position would also suit the England international.
McGarry also revealed Mason Mount, who spent last season on loan at Derby County, will be part of the Chelsea first team next season. Mount will reportedly alternate with Pulisic in the no.10 position.
As a fan of this great club, I must confess I am excited for the new season under Frank Lampard.
