Last week, two Chelsea youngsters left the club for Bayern Munich and many fans were disappointed with the news.

Bayern Munich confirmed that 16-year-old youngsters Jamal Musiala and Bright Akwo Arrey-Mbi had joined them from the Blues.

Bayern’s youth manager Jochen Sauer said: “With Jamal and Bright, we’ve gained two hopeful talents for our junior teams.

“We are convinced of their qualities and their development potential and assume that they will quickly settle on campus.”

Musiala is an England U16 international while Arrey-Mbi, who has represented Germany at the same age, returns to his homeland.

According to Chelsea Youth, Chelsea never really wanted to keep Bright Akwo Arrey-Mbi. The report claims Chelsea offered scholarships to four other centre-backs and didn’t offer any to Bright.

No disrespect to Bright who is an amazing talent but the coaches believed the other four centre-backs were better.

So Bayern Munich didn’t really pick up our players against our will.
