Former Premier League boss Ian Holloway sees young Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham playing for the Blues next season
Abraham has spent the last three seasons on loan away from Chelsea and he was impressive for Aston Villa last season, scoring 26 goals in 40 appearances to help them secure Premier League promotion.
Newly appointed Chelsea boss Frank Lampard worked wonders with a number of talented young players during his season in charge at Derby County – including Blues duo Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori and Holloway is excited at Abraham’s chances of playing for Chelsea next season.
“I’m so excited because I can see Tammy Abraham playing for Chelsea,” Holloway told talkSPORT.
“I was fuming the other day when he was subbed for the England Under-21s
“OK, when he went to Swansea it didn’t work for him because it was his first season in the Premier League, but he’s ready now.
“The boy is an immense talent. He was the second-highest goalscorer in the Championship last season and he’s the record goalscorer in their youth set-up.
“So I’m delighted. I think he’s ready for it and it’s got to happen now.
“Mason Mount will love the fact Frank trusts him as well.”
