Frank Lampard will be in the dugout tonight for the first time as Chelsea boss as the Blues take on Bohemians in Dublin.
35 players are currently in our training camp in Dublin but not all will feature in tonight’s friendly against Bohemians.
Ahead of tonight’s friendly against Bohemians, Lampard will be expecting full effort from his team while they’re on the pitch. It is unlikely any player will get more than 45 minutes against Bohemians and Lampard will want each player to give his best while on the pitch.
Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount, Fikayo Tomori and several other youngsters are with the squad in Dublin and some of these youngsters are expected to feature against Bohemians.
Lampard will be expecting any youngster that features against Bohemians to prove his worth and claim a spot in the first team.
Lampard has been with the players for just one week but he will expecting the players to have taken on board his philosophy and how he wants them to play. Lampard wants his team to play with pace and intensity and he will be expecting to see that from the team against Bohemians.
Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Antonio Rudiger, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Reece James are currently not with the squad in Dublin due to injury. Lampard will be expecting the friendly against Bohemians to be injury-free.
