Frank Lampard has been Chelsea boss for just over a week now but the players are already enjoying working with our new boss compared to previous managers like Maurizio Sarri and Antonio Conte.
According to The Telegraph, under Lampard there’s no more listening to long speeches or waiting to be told what to do.
The report claims during the eras of Antonio Conte and Maurizio Sarri, it was a common sight to see the players with an arm draped around a mannequin as they listened to or waited for instruction during what were often slow, laborious training sessions.
The players reportedly enjoy life under Lampard as he has increased the pace of life on the training pitch to the point where the mannequins are no longer getting a cuddle from bored players because there is no time.
Lampard has reportedly favoured working hard on fitness and stamina over team meetings which were always many under Conte and Sarri.
Meanwhile, Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta has revealed Lampard wants the team to play with high intensity and be dominant during games.
Azpilicueta said: “He wants us to play with high intensity and we want to be dominant in games, the manager has explained how he wants us to play and we are all enjoying the camp so far.”
