Chelsea fans have been eager to see the shirt number Christian Pulisic will be wearing at Chelsea.
Against Kawasaki Frontale, the 20 year old American international wore Gary Cahill’s old number, the No.24 shirt.
For those fans hoping to print No.24 on their Chelsea shirts, you will be better off waiting a little longer as the numbers worn by Christian Pulisic and also Mason Mount during preseason may not necessarily be the numbers they will wear during the season.
“Please note, squad numbers are not confirmed. The numbers the players wear tonight, are not necessarily what they will wear during the season,” Chelsea FC tweeted before the game against Kawasaki Frontale.
So we still don’t know who will inherit Eden Hazard’s No.10, is it Callum Hudson-Odoi or Pulisic?
Meanwhile, Pulisic has admitted he’s delighted with his Chelsea debut against Kawasaki Frontale.
Pulisic said: “It was a tough one out there with the humidity, and they were a very good opponent. We saw that with their goal at the end, but you want tough games like that in preseason.
“We wanted to come out with the win, but preseason is all about getting minutes under the belt and I feel great for being out there.”
