Willian was on international duty with Brazil at this summer’s Copa America tournament on home soil as Brazil went on to lift the cup.
Willian has been struggling with a thigh injury since, and couldn’t play in the final of tournament.
The 30-year-old has been back at Cobham to step up his recovery process and is scheduled to report for training early next month.
There is tight competition for places in the wings next season, and Willian has taken to social media to send a message to new Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard that he’s all set.
In a post on social media, Willian’s caption reads: “Ready to go again!”
Although not yet confirmed by Chelsea FC, it has been reported that Chelsea winger Willian has put pen to paper on a new long-term deal with the club. The new deal will keep the Brazilian at the club until 2021.
Willian currently has a year left on his deal, and he’s now set to get a two-year extension.
Also Willian might be the one to take over Eden Hazard’s No. 10 shirt next season.
According to Willian, Chelsea offered him the No.10 shirt following Hazard’s exit to Real Madrid and he has accepted to make the switch from No.22 to No.10.
In an interview with Desimpedidos YouTube channel, Willian confirmed it by saying in Portuguese: “Now the no.10 is mine! The club told me it is mine”.
