Kurt Zouma spent last season on loan with Everton, and the 24-year-old impressed massively for the Toffees.
The Frenchman is currently with Frank Lampard on pre-season, and now some rumours tend to suggest that he’s keen on a return to Goodison Park where he made a good impression last season.
Zouma has assured that he’s a Chelsea player and that he has gotten assurances from the Chelsea manager Frank Lampard ahead of next season, despite the competition in the Chelsea defence.
Lampard currently has five centre-backs who will fight for places in the defence next season and they are all quality. Fikayo Tomori, Andreas Christensen, Antonio Rudiger, David Luiz and Zouma will all fight for a shirt next season.
Speaking of the Chelsea competition and the assurances he’s gotten from the manager, Zouma said: “We had a chat and he’s been very good with me so now I just need to work very hard in pre-season and see what happens.
“Of course there’s competition here because we have a lot of players, a lot of quality and everybody is working hard, which you can see in the games and training sessions.
“The manager can put any player in the team and they will do well because we have a lot of quality here so he has to make the choice. He is very lucky because he has only good players so it’s a hard choice.”
