Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is willing to let right-back Davide Zappacosta leave the club before the close of the European transfer window.
According to Daily Mail, the Blues have slapped a £23million price tag on Davide Zappacosta.
Zappacosta has dropped down the pecking order in the right-back position as Lampard sees Reece James, who impressed on loan at Wigan last season, as backup to Cesar Azpilicueta.
According to Goal, Serie A side Roma are Zappacosta’s only potential suitors but they are reportedly struggling to meet Chelsea’s valuation of Zappacosta.
Daily Mail claim Roma are exploring the option of taking Zappacosta on loan but the Blues only want the Italian to leave on a permanent deal.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard recently hinted Zappacosta could leave the club.
Lampard said: “I have been really impressed with Zappacosta’s training, attitude and how he has been. He is a very good player.
“We have to make sure that we are happy with our squad when the European windows shut completely. That will be a decision for us and, of course Zappa.
“I want players happy. The professionalism that he has shown here has been great. That’s an ongoing conversation, but he is our player.”
