The Blues travelled back to London without Tammy Abraham after the striker scored a brace in our 3-2 victory over Norwich on Saturday.
According to The Sun, Abraham missed Chelsea’s return flight to London from Norwich on Saturday after taking two hours to complete a drugs test.
Abraham’s brace against Norwich were his first goals for Chelsea and the striker couldn’t celebrate his brace with his teammates as the squad returned to London after he was forced to complete a mandatory drugs test.
It took Abraham about two hours to provide a urine sample after getting dehydrated after playing in temperatures approaching 30 degrees.
After scoring his first goal for Chelsea, Abraham ran to the touchline to celebrate with Chelsea boss Frank Lampard.
Speaking about his first celebration with manager Frank Lampard, Abraham said: “When I got my first club goal I was over the moon and didn’t know how to celebrate.
“I just ran over to the manager to thank him.”
Lampard added: “Youngsters don’t just get games because I am promoting youth. They have to do it on credit.”
Abraham would be hoping to bag in more goals for the Blues over the course of the season.
oh such a mystery though
