Chelsea are planning to raid Bayern Munich when the transfer ban is over after the German club’s pursuit of Callum Hudson-Odoi and their recent signing of two Chelsea academy players.
According to Germany’s Sport1 and also Daily Mail, Bayern Munich starlet Torben Rhein has become a target for Chelsea.
The Blues are reportedly targeting the Bayern Munich starlet ahead of a potential move for the attacking midfielder at the end of their transfer ban.
The 16 year old is highly rated in Germany and has represented the country’s Under-16 side five times, netting once.
Rhein’s contract expires in the summer of 2021 and the Blues are reportedly tempting the 16 year with a lucrative offer to join Chelsea next summer. Chelsea have reportedly offered Rhein a better contract than Bayern Munich at the moment.
Rhein was previously part of Hertha Berlin’s youth setup before joining Bayern Munich in 2017.
Last season for Bayern Munich’s U17s, Rhein scored 12 goals and picked up four assists in 26 appearances.
After Bayern Munich pushed Chelsea to offer Hudson-Odoi over 150k weekly, it’s nice to see Chelsea do the same to Bayern Munich in their contract negotiations with their own player.
