Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham failed to beat Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian in Chelsea’s Super Cup final shootout defeat by Liverpool.
According to Christian Pulisic, Abraham’s miss against Liverpool would be forgotten after Abraham scores in his next game for Chelsea.
Pulisic insists Abraham would bounce back from his penalty miss against Liverpool and also revealed the Chelsea players would get behind him.
“It’s penalties, man – somebody has to miss,” Pulisic said.
“He’s going to get his head up. Obviously it’s tough but penalties are like that. He can deal with it and he’ll be fine.
“He’ll move on, he’ll score a goal in the next game and everything will be forgotten. We’re there for him.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has revealed he told Abraham not to worry after his penalty miss cost Chelsea against Liverpool on Wednesday night.
“It is part and parcel of being at the top level. We have to be very supportive,” Lampard said of Abraham.
“I’ve told him not to worry.
“I’ve missed penalties before, anyone can miss, but what I want to see is the confidence of a young player to step up.”
