The squad for Chelsea’s Super Cup clash against Liverpool on Wednesday night has been confirmed.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will be eager to get a win against Liverpool after the 4-0 loss to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday in Lampard’s first Premier League game in charge of the club.
Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger is part of the squad but Lampard has confirmed the German international isn’t fit to feature against Liverpool. Willian is back in the Chelsea squad for the first time this season after picking up a knee injury while on international duty for Brazil at the Copa America this summer.
N’Golo Kante may miss the game against Liverpool after picking up an injury in the loss at Old Trafford on Sunday.
There’s no place in the squad for Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko who has been linked with a Chelsea exit.
