The future of Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi has been up since January, but nothing definite has been achieved at the moment.
The 18-year-old is in the final year of his contract with Chelsea and has less than a year left with the Blues.
Chelsea have rejected multiple bids from Bayern Munich for Hudson-Odoi, and the club has done everything possible to keep the youngster, with Bayern Munich keen on his signature. The club has offered the 18-year-old a new contract, but negotiations are still ongoing.
Hudson-Odoi has been out of action since injuring his Achilles and he is yet to have signed a new contract.
Lampard has revealed that talks are ongoing and that he is happy with the progress he is making as he gets back to fitness.
Asked about the winger’s situation, Lampard explained: “The clubs are talking, we want him to stay, I want him to stay – we hope Callum stays, simple as that. But nothing new.
“The better news is that he’s working hard on his fitness and he’s back out on the pitch.
“So from my point of view that’s the really good news, and of course as a club we’d like that to be longer term.”
However, Hudson-Odoi’s barber seems to have confirmed that the Chelsea youngster is set to finally sign the deal with Chelsea.
An Instagram post from Hudson-Odoi’s barbershop reads: “Look like we stuck together for another few years my G let’s continue to keep it HD.”
