Chelsea are currently under a transfer ban running until next summer but that hasn’t stopped Chelsea boss Frank Lampard from drawing up a list of players who he wants to bring to Chelsea when the ban is over.

Lampard’s first signing could mean the end for Marcos Alonso at Chelsea.

According to The Sun, Lampard wants his first signing after the expiration of the ban to be Leicester City left-back Ben Chilwell.

Lampard has reportedly monitored the progress of the 22 year old left-back, who was also strongly linked to Manchester City last season following injury to Benjamin Mendy.

Lampard is on the lookout for attacking full-backs in order to revamp his Blues defence and Chilwell will reportedly cost the Blues around £70 million. Lampard reportedly loves the pace the 22 year old left-back possesses.

There is the possibility Chelsea could move for Chilwell in January, should the club’s appeal against FIFA’s transfer ban be successful.

Atletico reportedly had a £71m bid for Chilwell rejected by Leicester City and Barcelona are also reportedly interested in the 22 year old.

Chilwell, who signed a new long-term deal with the Foxes in October 2018, still has five-years left to run on his contract.
