A brace from Tammy Abraham and a goal from Mason Mount helped Chelsea secure a 3-2 victory over Norwich on Saturday, our first victory of the season.
Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic has been hailed for impressing against Norwich and the midfielder deserves all the praise he has been getting.
Kovacic’s six successful take-ons (out of six attempted) was a game-high figure. The Croatian was closely followed by Emerson and Barkley, who made five each.
Chelsea captain Cesar Azpilicueta also had a good game against Norwich winning a game-high four of the five aerial duels he contested. Azpilicueta also had 87 touches of the ball.
Emerson touched the ball 100 times, the highest in the game. He also completed four key passes, won four aerial duels and completed five dribbles. Emerson was also Chelsea’s top tackler, winning all seven tackles he contested.
Another Chelsea player that impressed was Ross Barkley, who made five key passes, the highest by any Chelsea player. He also completed five dribbles and had five attempts on goal.
Kurt Zouma’s 64 completed passes was the most on the pitch while Andreas Christensen’s pass success rate of 93% was the highest of any Chelsea player.
Zouma and Jorginho made three interceptions apiece, the highest of any Chelsea player.
