Chelsea need to keep a bulk of the players after being hit with a transfer ban, and the club has done well to keep a hold of all the key players, apart from Eden Hazard who has been keen to join Real Madrid.
The Chelsea players seem happy to play under Chelsea legend and new Blues boss Frank Lampard, and a number of Chelsea stars and academy players have penned new contracts to commit their future to Chelsea.
Three Chelsea players are now being linked as the latest that will commit their future to the club, with Willian, Tammy Abraham and Reece James all expected to sign new deals, according to reports.
According to Daily Mail, Willian is close to signing a new contract with Chelsea, and Blues boss Frank Lampard is keen to tie down highly-rated academy products Reece James and Tammy Abraham, whose contracts will soon near their end.
Lampard confirmed last week that he also wants Chelsea youngster Callum Hudson-Odoi to pen a new deal after the Blues have managed to keep Bayern Munich at bay.
Speaking after Chelsea’s pre-season friendly win over Reading, Lampard said: “I know the club are talking to Callum and Willian. They are both players I want in my squad.
“We’ve made some good moves this pre-season with Mason Mount and Ruben Loftus-Cheek signing new contracts, two young players nailed down and the club are always trying to do that.
“From a football sense, I’ve made my ideas very clear. I’m working very closely with Marina [Granovskaia] and the board because these are two players that we want to stay for sure.”
