It was a special training session for Frank Lampard and his players as they swapped their usual training base at Cobham for Stamford Bridge, and fans had been invited to have a look.
5,000 free tickets were made available which were quickly grabbed by the fans as the Blues faithful came out in mass to support the team.
Lampard came out from the tunnel before the open training session began as he introduced it to the fans. The Chelsea boss explained that events like these will help provide a chance for players to be able to engage with the fans.
Lampard also revealed that with a full week available to prepare for the visit to Norwich on Saturday, there is plenty of hard work taking place.
Interesting to see was Callum Hudson-Odoi, who only returned to training with the squad yesterday as he nears the end of his rehab from an Achilles injury which he suffered in April.
