Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham was replaced to a standing ovation from all corners of Stamford Bridge in the 2-2 draw against Sheffield United.

The 21-year-old striker was given a well-deserved ovation after a very good performance against the Blades on Saturday.

The Chelsea youngster has overcome a tough start to the season to bang a brace in his last two games for the club. Abraham is among the top scorers in the Premier League this season and is fourth on the chart, behind only to Sergio Aguero (6), Teemu Pukki (5) and Raheem Sterling (5).

Abraham has hailed Chelsea fans as amazing after the support he was shown at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.

Abraham said: “I just looked around the stadium and said ‘wow’.

“I couldn’t believe it. Chelsea fans are amazing. They have always supported me. From a young kid growing up they have always pushed me to get into the first team, and now I am here they have backed me ever since.

“Hopefully now we can start getting some wins for them.”

Tammy Abraham equalled a Frank Lampard record that has lasted for nine after his brace in Chelsea’s 2-2 draw against Sheffield United.

Following his brace against Sheffield United, Abraham became the first English man to score at least two goals in consecutive English top-flight fixtures for the Blues in over nine years.
