For close to two decades, Chelsea have by far been the best and the most consistent team in London. The Blues nickname of ‘Pride of London’ is by no means farfetched.

However, Gunners goalkeeper Bernd Leno has now claimed that Arsenal are the biggest club in London and have the most fans all over the world.

Leno has had a mixed start to his career as the Gunners first choice goalkeeper, but he clearly has no regrets about his £19million move from Bayer Leverkusen last summer and claims that he is in London’s biggest club.

Asked to compare Arsenal and Leverkusen, Leno told SportBild: “You can’t compare that, of course Arsenal is a world club, THE club here in London.

“Not Chelsea, not Tottenham – Arsenal is the club here with fans around the world.

“No matter where we are, also in the USA or in Asia, there are many fans of Arsenal everywhere.”

After all said and done, Arsenal are yet to taste any trophy in Europe while the Blues have won the Champions League and two Europa League titles in as many seasons.

It’s getting close to two decades since Arsenal won the Premier League, while Chelsea amass at least one trophy almost every season.

Chelsea also have huge fan base around the globe, and Leno just seems to be misinformed.

We all know who the pride of London is.
