Chelsea will host Liverpool at Stamford Bridge on Sunday evening, and it’s the biggest Premier League clash of the weekend.
Arsenal legend Ian Wright has predicted that Liverpool will beat Chelsea 3-1 at Stamford Bridge this weekend.
Liverpool top the league and have enjoyed a perfect start to their season with 5 wins out of 5 games in the Premier League. Chelsea have been quite inconsistent as Frank Lampard’s side have only won two league games.
The biggest challenge for Chelsea this season has been in the defence as the Blues are yet to keep a clean sheet so far.
The Blues defence has shipped in 11 goals and Gary Neville doesn’t think Chelsea’s backline can cope with the attacking threat of Liverpool’s front three.
“I mentioned the Champions League with Liverpool last season and got it wrong in the sense that I didn’t think Liverpool could compete in two competitions right to the very end and got it horribly wrong,” Neville told Sky Sports.
“I still think Liverpool need to win a Premier League title, it’s absolutely essential that they do that.
“Particularly with this team that they’ve got now.
“I don’t know any team that can handle that front three, they are absolutely magnificent. From a Chelsea point of view, they are going to struggle, they are going to need to score goals.
“Let’s see what happens. It’s a really intriguing game but I think Liverpool will win on Sunday.”
