Following Eden Hazard’s exit to Real Madrid this summer, the Blues expect 18 year old Callum Hudson-Odoi to become the club’s new poster boy, according to The Telegraph.
Hudson-Odoi signed a new five year contract with Chelsea on Thursday and according to Goal, he would earn £150,000 weekly at the club.
The Telegraph claims Chelsea believe Hudson-Odoi will become Chelsea’s most marketable asset over the course of the next year and the youngster is likely to get the number 10 shirt once 31-year-old Willian leaves Stamford Bridge.
Speaking after signing his new Chelsea contract, Hudson-Odoi said: “It’s an amazing feeling.
“It’s been a long wait, but it’s done now and I’m really happy about that. I’ve been a Chelsea player since I was eight and this is the right club for me to be at.
“I want to lift as many trophies as possible, win as many games as possible and contribute to as many goals as I can as well.
“As a team, we just want to work hard to achieve the best results we can. I’m delighted everything has been agreed and now I’m just looking forward to properly getting back.”
