Chelsea fans have clearly missed superstar Eden Hazard as the Belgian sealed a move to Real Madrid at the end of last season.

Hazard’s impact was clearly felt in his seven years at Chelsea, and he scored 110 goals in 352 outings for Chelsea, and the Belgian superstar always showed up in the big games with big performances.

Chelsea fans unveiled an Eden Hazard banner at Stamford Bridge on Sunday ahead of the game against Liverpool despite the fact that he has left the club, and it only shows that the Chelsea faithful are in need of a new star.

Former Chelsea defender Jason Cundy believes Callum Hudson-Odoi is the “future” of Chelsea FC and has praised the Blues for tying him down to a new contract.

Speaking on talkSPORT, Cundy said: “He is the future, he has shown the quality he has got, he’s a full international.

“For me, he starts [when he’s fit], he starts wide of the three, left or right.

“It depends what formation you play but if you’re playing a three up top, he can either play on the left or the right.

“So he’ll cut in on the right or cut in [on the left], generally on the right-hand side.

“He can’t play down the middle, I’ve not seen him play there, I’m sure given an opportunity [he could]. But he is the future of the football club and it is brilliant news.

“This is probably the best, you talk about Chelsea’s transfer ban, this is the best signing Chelsea could have made in this transfer window.

“For him to have left would have been devastating, so he’s signed down.

“He’s a good lad as well, he’s down to earth, he’s a nice boy to talk to. Very confident, he’s got a nice manner, nice way about him. I’m delighted for him.”
