Chelsea youngster Mason Mount was forced off within 15 minutes of Chelsea’s Champions League clash with Valencia after Francis Coquelin’s nasty challenge on the young midfielder that cut short his Champions League debut.

Mount was enjoying his game and was looking very bright for Chelsea until that rash tackle from Coquelin ended his evening.

Mount stayed on the ground and received treatment for up to two minutes and then tried to run it off afterwards but couldn’t, and was eventually subbed off with Pedro finishing the game in his stead.

Mount has had a sensational start to the season and could now miss this weekend’s tie against Liverpool.

Meanwhile, Coquelin was only shown a yellow card for his rash tackle which has angered Chelsea fans.

Chelsea fans went on social media to pour their wrath on the former Arsenal midfielder.
