Chelsea youngster Mason Mount has made his international debut for England having made the Three Lions squad for their Euro 2020 qualifiers at home to Bulgaria on Saturday and Kosovo on Tuesday.
Mount was a second half substitute as England defeated Bulgaria 4-0 on Saturday evening, replacing Jordan Henderson in the 67th minute to get his first senior cap for the Three Lions.
Mount’s call-up to the England national team was well deserved as he has impressed for the Blues this season.
Chelsea fans were in awe of Mount’s debut and took to social media to express their delight.
Mount revealed before the Bulgaria clash that he was in awe of getting a call-up, and his family members may drop a tear if he makes his debut.
“You can’t really put into words how it will feel stepping out onto the pitch at Wembley and representing your country,” Mount said.
“It is such a massive feeling and hopefully, I will be able to experience that.
“It’s not only a massive moment for me, but also for my family and all the coaches that I’ve worked with to help get me to this point.
“My family, in particular, have been a massive part of my career. They come to every one of my games and I’m sure there will be a few proud tears from them if I get to make my debut.”
