The Blues secured our first win of the season after pulling off a 2-0 victory over Brighton at Stamford Bridge.

In terms of creating chances, Chelsea picked up from where we left off during our Carabao Cup mauling of Grimsby on Wednesday. The cutting edge in front of goal though, was missing.

Chelsea had lots chances against Brighton but a lack of cutting edge in front of goal meant we scored just two goals.

Jorginho opened the scoring from the penalty spot to put Chelsea ahead on the 50 minute mark after Adam Webster fouled Mason Mount.

Brazilian international Willian doubled Chelsea’s lead after cutting inside from the right and rifling home.

Abraham might have quickly made it three for Chelsea but his chip was palmed away by Ryan.

While Lampard will be pleased with Chelsea’s first win of the season, he would want his players to be more clinical in front of goal.
