Chelsea will play host to Manchester United in the fourth round of the competition after Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side managed to beat Rochdale on penalties.

This is the ninth consecutive season Chelsea have reached the fourth round of the Carabao Cup. At that stage last year, we beat Derby County, 3-2, and the Rams were managed by Frank Lampard at the time. We then got the better of Bournemouth and Tottenham on our way to the Wembley final which we lost to Manchester City.

The last time the two sides met in the League Cup was in October 2012, as the Blues won the game in a 5-4 thriller.

The tie will be played at the Bridge on 29 or 30 October, with full details to be confirmed shortly.
