Former Liverpool player Stan Collymore previously doubted Tammy Abraham’s ability to deliver in the Premier League.
The 21 year old striker has established himself as Chelsea’s main striker this season, scoring seven goals in the Premier League. He is also the joint top goalscorer in the league alongside Sergio Aguero.
Collymore has now admitted Abraham has proven him wrong with his performances for Chelsea.
Collymore told the Mirror: “I questioned whether Tammy Abraham could become a 20-goal-a-season Premier League striker at the start of the season.
“I wanted to know if he could be better with his back to goal, more dynamic in the box, and whether he had the sharpness that, when the ball dropped, bang, it was in the back of the goal.
“He has 100 per cent thrown my doubts in my face and I’m delighted for him.”
