Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has admitted he doesn’t know when Antonio Rudiger will be fit to play again for Chelsea.
Rudiger missed the final games of last season and also preseason after hurting his knee in the 1-1 draw at Old Trafford last season.
He made his injury comeback in the 5-2 victory over Wolves two weeks ago but his comeback lasted only 45 minutes after he hurt his groin.
It was initially thought to be only a minor strain but a frustrated Lampard isn’t certain when Rudiger will be back.
Lampard said: “Toni has got a recurring injury in the groin, so it’s not the knee. We are trying to find a solution because he still does have some pain. We are hopeful that it won’t be long, but we don’t have an end date for you.”
