Frank Lampard took charge of Derby in May 2018 and guided the Rams to the Championship play-off final in his only season at Pride Park.

He failed to guide Derby to Premier League football after losing 2-1 to Aston Villa in the play-off final.

Of the 57 games Lampard was in charge of Derby, he won 27, drew 17 and lost 16 – giving him a win percentage of just over 42 per cent.

Lampard replaced Maurizio Sarri as Chelsea boss over the summer and has guided Chelsea to just two wins in seven games.

Former Liverpool star Jason McAteer has insisted that Frank Lampard was not a success during his stint with Derby.

McActeer said, according to The Sun: “He only had one season as Derby manager, would you say he was a success?

“Probably not because he had a pretty decent budget and the aim was to get them up, and he didn’t do that.”
