Chelsea midfielder Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who picked up an Achilles injury prior to the Europa League final against Arsenal in May, appears to be making good progress in his rehabilitation.
According to Simon Johnson of Standard Sport, Loftus-Cheek will be back in training in six weeks time.
Loftus-Cheek forced himself into the starting XI last season under Maurizio Sarri before the injury in a friendly in the United States which forced him to miss the Europa League final against Arsenal.
After being out injured for so long, Loftus-Cheek will need more time to get match fit and he will be expected to play in U23 games to gain some match fitness just as Antonio Rudiger, Reece James and Callum Hudson-Odoi have done.
