Jorginho joined Chelsea last season as he made the move from Napoli to the Blues in the summer of 2018.
Maurizio Sarri brought Jorginho alongside with him from Napoli and the Italy international was a key player under Sarri last season.
Chelsea fans didn’t warm up to Jorginho immediately and the former Napoli midfielder was even booed by the Chelsea fans as he struggled to cope with the intensity of Premier League last season.
Towards the end of last season, Jorginho’s game improved and he played a key role for the Blues as we won the Europa League and reached third place in the Premier League.
Jorginho has also been a key player under Lampard, and Chelsea fans have noticed the improvement in his game and recently chanted his name in the 3-2 win over Norwich.
Jorginho has now revealed that coming to the Premier League has made him a better player.
He told reporters while on Euro 2020 qualifying duty: “I think I had a fantastic first season and it was fundamental for my growth process.
“I am stronger in defence now, I go into challenges with more determination and control the game. The Premier League has forced me to develop different skills.
“[Italy coach] Roberto Mancini is putting his faith in me for the Nazionale and I am trying to prove on the field that I deserve that.
“I think more than anything I just have the characteristics to suit his idea of football.
“I’d love to score a goal [against Finland on Sunday], but I’d be even happier if we came away with three points.”
