The Blues have conceded 13 goals this season in the Premier League and are yet to keep a clean sheet.
Chelsea boss Frank Lampard is yet to play a settled back four this season due to injuries to important players like Antonio Rudiger and Emerson Palmieri.
Lampard admits he would prefer a settled team but insists clean sheets are not his top priority as long as Chelsea win games.
“It is not the reason,” Lampard said when asked if Rudiger’s absence was responsible for Chelsea’s lack of clean sheets.
“Certainly the reason is a team reason and I wouldn’t be frustrated if we were winning every game.
“It wouldn’t bother me. I am not here to just protect a clean sheet record. If we win games I am happy with that. It is a team effect.
“Of course, you want consistency and I haven’t been allowed that with injuries. In terms of selections Toni Rudiger was pretty much a standard pick last year until his injury.
“He hasn’t been around at all for me other than one game. So we have been searching for that a bit.”
