Frank Lampard’s side have been kicking it in training as the Blues hope to follow the 5-2 victory against Wolves with a win in the Champions League.
A number of Chelsea players won’t be able to feature in this clash as Frank Lampard ruled out five players in his press conference due to injury.
Ahead of Tuesday’s Champions League clash against Valencia in Spain, Chelsea boss Frank Lampard has revealed five players that will be unavailable for the game.
According to Lampard, Antonio Rudiger, Callum Hudson-Odoi, Reece James, N’Golo Kante and Emerson Palmieri will miss the game against Valencia.
A group of 22 players trained at Cobham this morning as Frank Lampard put his side through their paces ahead of our Champions League opener against Valencia. From the five players mentioned above, only Rudiger and Emerson Palmieri were absent from training due to his groin injury, as the other three are trying to get match fitness. N’Golo Kante, Callum Hudson-Odoi and Reece James all joined the team in training.

As is customary before UEFA competition matches, the first 15 minutes of training was open to the media at Cobham today.
New Valencia boss Albert Celades believes his side can cause issues for the English club and force a result away from home.
“It will be a big challenge but a fascinating one too. We’re sure they can cause us a lot of problems,” he said.
“We’re going to prepare for the game in the best way possible and try to get a result.”
