Eden Hazard is totally irreplaceable, but Chelsea must move on from missing the Belgian who has since sealed a multi million pounds move to Real Madrid.
Hazard was the star of the Chelsea team during his time at the club, and many pundits believe Chelsea will struggle without the Belgian who’s now at the Santiago Bernabeu.
However, football pundit Charlie Nicholas believes Chelsea youngster Mason Mount has what it takes to try and fill the hole left by Hazard.
Mount has been a key part of Frank Lampard’s team, and has earned a deserved call-up to the England national team.
Charlie Nicholas has hailed the youngster and believes he has the potential to succeed at the club.
“Everywhere he gets the ball is usually in the last 40 yards and he’s always looking to do something,” he said on Soccer Saturday.
“He’s got this lovely whip, it’s a little bit like [David] Beckham actually, where he slightly looks off balance but he can whip it.
“He gets a real bit of movement on the ball.
“He is so assured and he’s only going to get better but I just wonder how they’re going to fit him in.
“You can’t replace Hazard but the signs are that he could play that role.
“Not as good as Hazard yet but the signs are very promising for this lad.”
