A number of Chelsea players have been called up for the first international break of the new season.

The break has come at a good time for Blues boss Frank Lampard who will now have some time off to restrategise and also welcome back players who have been injured, as they near perfect fitness.

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi was called up for Belgium’s Euro 2020 qualifiers away to San Marino on Friday and Scotland on Monday.

Mario Pasalic who’s on loan to Serie A side Atalanta was called up by Croatia for their Euro 2020 qualifiers away to Slovakia on Friday and Azerbaijan on Monday. Mateo Kovacic has withdrawn through injury.

Tammy Abraham wasn’t called up for England, but Ross Barkley and Mason Mount made the Three Lions call for their Euro 2020 qualifiers at home to Bulgaria on Saturday and Kosovo on Tuesday.

Centre-back Andreas Christensen was called up for Denmark’s Euro 2020 qualifiers away to Gibraltar on Thursday and Georgia on Sunday.

Olivier Giroud and Kurt Zouma are part of France Euro 2020 qualifiers squad that would play at home to Albania on Saturday and Andorra on Tuesday.

For Italy, Jorginho and Emerson Palmieri were called up for their Euro 2020 qualifiers away to Armenia on Thursday and Finland on Sunday.

Of our Spanish contingent, only Kepa Arrizabalaga made the cut for Euro 2020 qualifiers away to Romania on Thursday and at home to Faroe Islands on Sunday.

Christian Pulisic will be part of USA’s friendlies at home to Mexico on Saturday and Uruguay on Wednesday (Friday and Tuesday US time).

Ethan Ampadu who’s on loan to RB Leipzig was called up for Wales Euro 2020 qualifiers at home to Azerbaijan on Friday and Belarus on Monday.

Billy Gilmour who recently made his Chelsea debut was called up for Scotland’s Euro 2021 qualifiers at home to San Marino on Thursday and away to Croatia on Tuesday.

Chelsea youngsters Conor Gallagher and Tariq Lamptey are part of England Under-20s squad for friendlies at home to Netherlands on Thursday and away to Switzerland on Monday.
