Chelsea youngster Tammy Abraham is relishing the moment as he has banged four goals in the Premier League already this season in four games.

Abraham joined Chelsea’s youth academy in 2004, the same year Drogba was signed for the senior side from Marseille for £24 million.

The 21-year-old forward is now the club’s first choice striker, and he has revealed that Drogba was his idol growing up as a kid.

Per Darren Lewis of the Mirror, Abraham said:

“I have so many stories from when I was younger watching him, growing up watching such a talented striker.

“I’ve always wanted to be like him, always hungry to score goals. Just looking at him he had that appearance about him. And I’ve always wanted to add that to my game. So to follow in his footsteps [as the club’s main striker] is always nice.”

Drogba has now sent a reply to encourage the young striker as he shared a post on his Instagram story, which was also shared by Tammy Abraham.

“God bless you, son,” the caption reads over a photo of Abraham’s interview in the newspaper.

The Blues will return to Premier League action this weekend with a visit to Molineux to face Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Abraham will be eyeing a record set by Cristiano Ronaldo and Dele Alli when the Blues face Wolves.

Abraham scored a double against Norwich City at Carrow Road and then scored another double against Sheffield United at Stamford Bridge.

The 21 year old striker will match a record set by Cristiano Ronaldo and Dele Alli if he scores another double against Wolves on Saturday.
