Chelsea suffered back-to-back home defeats as league leaders Liverpool held onto a 2-1 win at Stamford Bridge on Sunday.

Poor defending and failure to convert some very good chances cost the Blues against Liverpool.

Chelsea striker Tammy Abraham was named as Chelsea’s worst player against Liverpool.

On Tammy Abraham being Chelsea’s worst player, The Sun wrote: “Had a golden opportunity to level after beating the offside trap but Adrian saved in the one-on-one battle.

“Abraham looked isolated on his own and was given no breathing space by Van Dijk or Matip.”

Chelsea defender Fikayo Tomori and Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante were named as Chelsea’s best two players against Liverpool.

On Tomori, The Sun wrote: “Made some vital blocks, tackles and interceptions in the first-half and looked comfortable on the ball.

“Showed aggressiveness to attack the ball winning 50/50 challenges.”

On Kante, The Sun wrote: “Energetic from the off the Frenchman pushed forward on and off the ball to get into the box.

“Scored a sublime solo goal picking up the ball in midfield, driving at Liverpool before stabbing the ball into the back of the net.”
