Mason Mount was forced off with an ankle injury in the early stages of Chelsea’s 1-0 loss to Valencia at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday.
The 20 year old was missed after he was replaced by Pedro.
Since returning to the club from his loan spell at Derby County last season, Mount has become an important player for Chelsea.
Mount’s goal in the 5-2 thrashing of Wolves on Saturday was his third in his first five games of the season. He has stepped up to fill the void left by Eden Hazard’s departure to Real Madrid.
Chelsea missed the spark Mount produces in the final third and Chelsea boss Frank Lampard will be hoping the 20 year old is fit for the visit of Liverpool on Sunday.
Mount has created 11 chances in the Premier League this season, more than any Chelsea player and he also has 16 shots on goal, more than any Chelsea player.
He has completed 11 dribbles (2nd in the Chelsea team), touched the ball 16 times in the opposition box (2nd in the Chelsea team) and has scored 3 goals for the Blues in the Premier League, second only to Tammy Abraham who has 7 goals.
