Tammy Abraham continued his good form as he bagged a hat-trick in the 5-2 win against Wolves on Saturday night.
Abraham doubled Chelsea’s advantage two minutes after Fikayo Tomori had slammed in an audacious shot from 30 yards out to score the opener.
Abraham scored his second goal of the game and Chelsea’s third, before half-time when he connected with a Marcos Alonso cross, to give Chelsea a commanding 3-0 lead at halftime.
He then completed his hat-trick just before the hour mark after receiving a pass from Jorginho, showing good pace and strength to see off Conor Coady, before clinically slotting the ball past Wolves goalkeeper Rui Patricio.
While Chelsea fans were excited with the three goals scored by Abraham, the Wolves supporters were not happy and made their unhappiness obvious when he was substituted in the 77th minute. Abraham came off for Michy Batshuayi and he was reportedly booed by the home supporters after tormenting their defence for a large part of the afternoon.
And as he walked off the pitch, he reminded the Wolves faithful exactly how many he had scored against them by holding up three fingers.
“I loved this when I saw it. Shut the haters up,” said one Chelsea fan on Reddit.
Another supporter hoped that Tammy will live up to the heights reached by Didier Drogba as he said: “I hope Tammy continues this level of excellency, and becomes a legend like Drogba.”
