Chelsea have been keeping tabs on Emanuel Vignato in recent months, and reports claim that the Blues have recently sent a scout to watch the 19-year-old.
The Chievo youngster has been impressing in the Serie A this season and is being monitored by many top clubs across Europe including Serie A giants Inter and AC Milan as well as Bayern Munich.
Chelsea cannot sign a player in January, but the Blues have slim hopes that the ban could still be lifted and haven’t stopped scouting for good players. And if it isn’t lifted, Roman Abramovich’s club is still on the search for quality players that will strengthen Frank Lampard’s squad at the end of the season.
An Italian journalist Nicolo Schira has recently confirmed that Chelsea have had scouts come over to watch Vignato.
“#Chelsea in interested in Emanuel #Vignato (born in 2000),” tweeted Nicolo Schira.
“Blues’ scout was in Italy to look him in Salernitana-Chievo two weeks ago.
“Also #BayernMunchen, #Milan and #Inter are following the young player.”
The transfer ban has been hailed as a blessing in disguise for the Blues as Frank Lampard has had to look inward to strengthen the squad and the likes of Tammy Abraham, Mason Mount and Fikayo Tomori have been lighting up the first team.
