Chelsea boss Frank Lampard won’t be a happy man after another Chelsea player picked up a knock.
Chelsea midfielder Mateo Kovacic had to be substituted during Croatia’s clash with Wales on Sunday evening.
Kovacic, picked up a knock in the build-up to Gareth Bale’s equaliser for Wales at the end of the first half, and was replaced by Barcelona midfielder Ivan Rakitic.
The extent of the injury is not yet known.
Kovacic has been heavily involved in Frank Lampard’s squad this season, making 11 appearances for Chelsea in all competitions.
Kovacic is the latest Chelsea player with an injury scare ahead of our Premier League game against Newcastle next weekend.
N’Golo Kante, Reece James and Andreas Christensen are also doubts for the Newcastle game due to injuries.
