A number of Chelsea youngsters have done well on loan and are now back at the club performing well under Chelsea manager Frank Lampard.
The likes of Mason Mount, Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori are a key part of Lampard’s Chelsea rejuvenation, and they all impressed during loan spells in the Championship. Reece James is also deptusing Cesar Azpilicueta and has been getting useful minutes.
Chelsea youngster Izzy Brown is now enjoying a successful loan spell at Championship club Luton Town and the midfielder has been impressive.
Brown struggled during a temporary loan deal with Leeds United last season, as he made just two appearances for Marcelo Bielsa’s side.
The 22-year-old has made just one first team appearance for Chelsea so far in his career, and has spent the majority of his short career away from Stamford Bridge on loan deals. But his current form for Luton will keep Lampard very much interested.
Luton Town boss Graeme Jones has been full of praise for Brown following his recent performances.
Jones said: “He’s effective […] off the ball as well […] I think he’s benefited from playing in a midfield three because he had to take that responsibility on board. Now as a number 10 it’s a bit easier, but he’s never let the side down once off the ball.
”On the ball Izzy Brown’s a Premier League player, so we’re delighted to have him and in the form that he’s in.”
