Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has revealed Frank Lampard’s successor as Chelsea boss.

According to Carragher, Leicester City boss Brendan Rodgers might end up at Chelsea if he leaves Leicester City.

Rodgers was once reserve coach at Chelsea.

“Liverpool is out of the question, Man United is out of the question but if you look at Arsenal, Chelsea in a few years time, whether Frank [Lampard] stays there or not,” the ex-Liverpool defender said on Sky Sports.

“He’s got a link to Chelsea being in the youth set-up and the reserves. I think those are the two jobs really, maybe international-wise as well.

“Who knows how long Gareth Southgate will last, maybe he goes after the next World Cup and I think Brendan Rodgers would come into the reckoning.

“When he was flying at Liverpool his name was continuously coming up for the England job, I think they’re the types of jobs he’ll be looking at but he knows getting back into the Premier League on the back of what happened with Liverpool, if he got Leicester into the top four, it gives him a great chance, or restores his credibility, which went a touch in that last season at Liverpool.”
