Before the 4-1 win at Southampton on Sunday, reports broke out Christian Pulisic will push to leave the club in January if his lack of game time at the club continues.
Pulisic came off the bench to provide the assist for Michy Batshuayi’s goal against Southampton. It was just his second appearance in Chelsea’s last six games in all competitions.
While some of our readers think Pulisic should be patient and wait for his chance, others think Pulisic should be starting because they believe he is better than Callum Hudson-Odoi who started against Southampton.
Hope Obiora Opara believes Pulisic should be patient: “Pulistic or what ever they call you, be patient.Alonzo was on bench for some time and he is back and doing great. The league just started. English FA will start as well, carabao cup is going, the league is going on and championship league, you don’t threat your club because the club is bigger than any player. You are lucky that Chelsea is banned from the transfer market you should have been on loan. Keep quiet everyone will get his fair share in the game. Lampard has gotten his Mojo and no longer a rookie. Let him get maintain winning so that the team will grow confidence. You are part of his plans buddy.Don’t start this distraction like a rebel with no friend. Good luck.”
Ken Ekwuribe believes Pulisic is a better player than Hudson-Odoi: “Callum Hudson Odoi is not better than Pulisic. Why can’t the coach play Pullisic behind the striker, Willian and Mount at the wings in a 4-2-3-1 formation?”
Mr Bash also urged Pulisic to be patient: “Pulisic b patient just a tym. Nd wen ever u were given a chance. Try 2 prove ur self….. Lykwise yesterday.”
Emmanuel believes Pulisic shouldn’t expect to be a regular starter at Chelsea when he wasn’t one at Dortmund: “Why should Pulisic think he is guaranteed to start. I hate that feeling of entitlement. Chelsea is a bigger club than Borussia Dortmund and he couldn’t play regularly at Dortmund because of Jadon Sancho. He should work hard and wait for his chance. It’s a long season. Wait for your chance and make good use of it when it comes.”
